Looking to start a team. Soldiers only.

I justgot stationed at ft bliss and I'm going to be here for a while. I'm wanting to start a legit team. Speedball only. I used to play for nap aka brass eagle express. Brass eagle owns cocker for those who don't know. Nap - north Alabama paintball. We competed in nppl, aces, and cfoas. Nevertheless if the team takes off I want to get it set up with mwr backing it and have a legit army team. As soon as my bonus comes in I'll have my new equipment in and I'll be hitting up the fields and getting back into it. If anyones interested hit me up via aim, pm, or txt - 2564602495

Some of us in 1st Armored have been trying to get MWR to sponsor something a bit more than unit-level activities and a Fort Bliss tournament.

I'm currently putting together a proposal for my Squadron to put together an "intramural" Troop tournament for the Squadron. If we can get MWR to back this, it would be one step in the right direction. The problem is the field on Biggs, if they would improve or put money into the field on Biggs, we could have an awesome place to play that is local to most soldiers.

If only Adrenaline could work with the MWR on that..

We have been talking to the Army about taking over Zephyr paintball, but it would be a big job to get that field up to par for speed ball. Remember, Active Army pay half price entry at Adrenaline and we always have teams practicing there on Saturdays and Sundays, Mostly Sundays. There is quite a bit of soldiers that alreaday play on team Adrenaline, so you might consider coming out to Adrenaline Paintball to check it out.

Well has anyone tried to see if there's a way we could take the field at biggs field into our own hands or we could set up our own ****** because I could invest in some speedball bunkers. I was going to set up a field back home and I can get some used bunkers for cheap. If a team could actually get together and compete in big events without the army support you can present a team/player portfolio and apply for a sponsorship through mwr like you do with other sponsors. If you don't have anything to really offer without there help it's a lot less likely they will back you but if you work with what you got and get the balling already it's easier to pick up speed. Is there any strictly soldier teams already or anyone who'd be interested in starting a team. I used to do a lot of the work for nap, and saw a lot of ****** and how it works. I'm wanting to start something up if there isn't a strictly soldier team yet. Hit me up if anyone is interested. Gotta get my equipment and get back into the groove first myself but wanting to take this ****** to millenium, psp, and nppl. Gotta start at the bottom with a solid foundation first. Gotta bounce. We do alot of work for the military on base, boths Biggs and Bliss, they told us that it was against their rules for a Soldier to run the paintball field and that's why they asked us.

Cool cool. And in response to the good luck. My last team played in nppl. Not pro but in 2 different devisions. It's possible. You gotta start somewhere but the negative criticism is much appreciated. What exactly are you wanting to get done tony? And I'll find the numbers.

915-744-8087 will direct you to the field. They should be able to point you to the proper MWR director.

Also.. the field itself isn't bad. The problems that it has are:

1. CO2 only. There are no air fills whatsoever, just CO2.
2. Paint. Pretty bad paint. Has a tendency to NOT break.
3. Bunkers. The bunkers themselves aren't too bad. But there are quite a few (like the cars) that make no sense in being there. If the spools were rearranged, the "houses" moved, and a few other things cleaned up it would make a decent recball field.
4. Staff. No one knows how to ref!
